Bug Tracker is more than a bug tracker, it allows you to add a feature request too when you want to have a new feature for a program.

Develop can change the status to finished when he finishes the new feature.

Task Management

Managers use Bug Tracker to create tasks and assign them to his team member. He can set task's priority, due date and start date.

Developers or QA can check tasks assigned to them, and work on it. Once complete a task, he can change task status to completed.

9 different data types are supported by Bug Tracker,

  • Integer - used for a small number (0 - 65535)
  • Big Integer - used for a big number, like ID
  • String - a text string with max character of 255
  • Big String - a string without length limitation
  • Duration - can be used when you want to record how long is taken to finish a task.
  • Date - date only
  • Date and Time - date and time
  • Boolean - yes or no
  • Pick List - a drop down list allows you to choose a value from a list.

Customizable Work Flow

New - A bug has status new when it's created
Resolved - A bug has been resolved by a developer.
Closed - If a bug is confirmed by QA to have been fixed. A bug can be only changed to closed from resolved.
By Design - This is not a bug, the system works in this way by design.
Cannot Reproduce - A developer cannot reproduce a bug.

All the work flow status names can be changed by using admin tool.

Filter is a powerful yet simple tool to find records fast. You can create your own search criteria or share it with other users.

One filer can have multiple conditions with logic And or Or condition.

Default Filter - a default filter is applied automatically when you login.

Public Filter - public filter can be used by every one.

Flexible User Access Control

DIfferent users can have different access right to different projects. For example, a user can create new bugs for project one, but he may not be able to create new bugs for project two.

Bug Tracker provides you a very simple and intuitive interface to manage user access control. You can use pre-defined templates to setup rights quickly.

Role - A group of users shares the same access. One user can belong to different roles for different projects. Web Bug Tracker also allows you change access to customized meta data.

Assign Bug/Feature/Task to users

Web Bug Tracker allows you to assign a bug, feature or task to users who will be responsible for finishing the assigned bugs, features or tasks.

Auto Assignment - A bug record in a category can be automatically assigned to users who are responsible for that category. For example, if John is responsible for Database category, he will be assigned to bugs that belong to Database category.
